A brief directory of local contacts follows.  It contains either contact numbers, websites or emails to assist and address any local issues that may arise.  If you’d like to add to the list, please contact our clerk.

UK Power Networks regarding the power outages in our parish:

As a parish council, we have tried to address this for our residents.  However, we have learnt that as a body we cannot assist individual cases and have been advised it is best for UK Power Networks to deal with customers directly.  For complaints about the continued and worsening power cuts, please contact them by phone on  0800 028 4587 or Email:  care@ukpowernetworks.co.uk

Priority Services Register:

For older residents or those with chronic health conditions or serious illness, or anyone for whom it is important that they are kept up to date with the progress of restoring power, there is a service called the “Priority Services Register”.  An eligible person (or someone on their behalf) can register with the UK Power Networks Priority Services Register via calling 0800 169 9970 or emailing psr@ukpowernetworks.co.uk this will ensure that the person is kept updated either by calls to them or texts when the power goes out.

Bin Collections

If you have reduced mobility, or live with restricted movement or illness and find putting your bins out is too difficult and puts you at risk, help is available from the District Council’s contractor.  This will alert the men on the round and they can access your drive/property and get the bins in and out for you.  To register your request for extra help, please follow this link to their online form:
or call Broadland District Council and ask for waste and recycling, then ask to set up an “Assisted Bin Collection” – 01603 431133.  Please make sure you renew this request every 2 years, or let the District Council know when it is no longer needed.
